A lot of wrestling fans are completely unaware of the fact that the WWE has been split down the middle once before. The SmackDown and Raw brands were split in the early 2000s. During this period of time, the company held a draft each and every year and allowed each brand to pick and choose wrestlers. The concept proved to be very fruitful and inspired a lot of brand loyalty. At the time, fans were either Raw guys or SmackDown guys and cheered for their respective brands faithfully.
